Norwegian artist Magnus Dorholt Kjeldal (born 1989) from Lunde in Telemark, has with his emerging big dramatic baritone a bright future ahead of him. Magnus has his singing education from Barratt Due Music Institute 2011 and the Opera Academy in 2014, both in Oslo. He is currently working with Jeremy Silver as teacher/coach. After studies in Mexico for some years he recently moved back to Norway to continue his singing craft, and has in no time established himself as a sought after opera- and concert singer.
Apart from many concerts all over Norway, including the The Norwegian Radio Orchestra and “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” (Mahler) with The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces, Magnus sang Marullo in “Rigoletto” at The Norwegian National Opera in 2019, and as many roles as corona allowed at Norwegian District operas as Opera Nordfjord, Opera Trøndelag, Opera Kristiansund, etc. Autumn 2021 he sang male lead as Phileas Fogg in Kverndokk’s opera musical “Around the World in 80 Days” at Opera Nordfjord. Magnus will make his debut as Marcello in Boheme at Opera Kysten in January 2022. A leading role awaits at Ringsakeroperaen in 2022.
