Bergen International Festival has invited Adrian and pianist Marita Kjetland Rabben to Håkonshallen to sing Haugtussa and more. 24 May at 7.30 pm.
Last fall, the Norwegian-Sámi mezzo-soprano and opera singer Adrian Angelico found success in the stage production of Haugtussa at the Norwegian National Theatre, alongside pianist Marita Kjetland Rabben and the rest of the ensemble. The performance toured the German Ruhrtriennale festival and International Theater Amsterdam, and Angelico’s and Rabben’s roles were highlighted by many reviewers.
‘Mezzo-soprano Adrian Angelico is phenomenal (…) with an overwhelming voice, impressive presence, and absolute charm,’ wrote the Dutch theater platform Theaterkrant in its review of the performance.
