It’s Bernt Olas debut at Folkoperan in Stockholm, and he does it in a world premiere!
Selma Lagerlöf’s story “Herr Arnes penningar”, about a young girl’s love and a silver treasure with a curse on it, takes place in an ice-covered Marstrand. With Peter Nordahl’s music and Sara Bergmark Elfgren’s libretto, it becomes a gothic opera about heartfelt sisterhood, a dangerous first love, revenge, guilt and evil sudden death.
