Folkoperan turns 50 and celebrates it with Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade. Peter Spissky conducts and Charlotte Engelkes directs. What could go wrong?
Vivaldi’s music is bursting with elegance, drama and contrasts: virtuoso arias, intense duets and quiet beauty. On stage, opera singers, dancers and musicians meet in a physical, genre-crossing interpretation by Charlotte Engelkes. She is accompanied by a strong artistic team of set and lighting designer Linus Fellbom, costume designer Anna Ardelius and choreographer Sofia Södergård.
Runs 19 February until 22 March.
